It looks like Komodo Station may have jumped the gun.
Earlier today, the official store—responsible for distributing Steam hardware in regions like Japan and South Korea—quietly published a landing page for the upcoming Steam Controller ahead of any official announcement window. The page, which includes wishlist functionality and a “coming soon” label, suggests that preparations for launch are already underway.
While no release date or pricing details were listed, the early appearance of the page is a strong signal that Valve could be gearing up to share more information very soon.
A new generation of Steam hardware
The new Steam Controller is part of a broader push by Valve Corporation to expand its hardware ecosystem beyond the Steam Deck. The company officially revealed a lineup of new devices—including the Steam Controller, Steam Machine, and a VR headset—planned for release in early 2026.
In Asia, these devices are being distributed through Komodo Station, Valve’s official partner in the region.
What we know about the new Steam Controller
Although Valve has yet to fully detail the final product, early information paints a clear picture of what to expect.
The upcoming controller builds on the original concept released in 2015, which was discontinued in 2019. The new version is expected to feature:
- Dual trackpads and analog sticks
- Gyro controls for motion input
- Customizable buttons and back paddles
- Wireless connectivity via Bluetooth and dedicated receiver
The design continues Valve’s focus on flexibility—aiming to make virtually any PC game playable from the couch or on devices like Steam Deck.
